who makes a pipe thread sealer paste that dries? Everything i found in stores so far doesn't dry and the faucet i need it for drips around the threads. If i use the tape or the paste that doesn't dry. I have already changed out the faucet 2 times the old faucet had paste on it that dries. And i'm not gonna pay a pro $400 to put it back in thats what they charge here 400 a fixture

use pvc cement.. it dries...

Use plumbers tape. It's Teflon tape.

PS. you can take as many raps you need to stop the leak.

get some rector seal number 5. it is good stuff and can be found at most hardware stores. (its a white can with red lettering)

teflon is the right answer, however i though he said it still leaks with the tape?.. maybe time for new pipe with better threads.. other wise yes the teflon tape is what works good..teflon also is used with propane sometimes..pvc seals good but if it moves it can crack..@->-daisyhubs.

Maybe when you used the tape the first time you didn't wrap it enough times around the threads ?
Teflon tape has always worked for me.
Only thing is you have to go around the threads a few times.
Make sure when you put it on wrap it in the direction you are going to tighten, that way it tightens against itself.

johnyomg i'm 34 and divorced for 2 years now. Although my ex wife who is 26 now and use to come on her dunno is she still does can come take a shower in it if she wants. I'd like that but i doubt she would since she hasn't talked to me un a year
