guys i work in a metal shop and do lots of welding! but during the summer months i sweat really bad and i always getthis rash on my inside of my thighs where my extra large balls sit against. i use lots of corn strach in the morming and powder up good with it to help prevent the sweat from giving me a rash. But whenits in the high 80 low 90s for three week straight its hared to beat the rash back. my question is does anybody else have a better way to prevent the rash. i've tried baby powder it makes it worse and i've tried zinc powder no help.... plz help me guys

By devildaughter on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 - 7:25 pm

TUBBY...Hubby gets that all the time. All he does after finish working he takes a shower and dry down and then he put on Medicated Body Power. He get it at Rexall or at any Drug Store and it works for him. Oh when you put it on Hubby always lay naked so clothes won't rub up against it. Hope you have some luck.

its been my philosophy for some time now, that the key to keeping irritation to a minimum is to start the day as dry as possible. so after i take a shower and dry off, i take a clean dry wash cloth, or hand towel, and jam it under my junk, between my legs. and leave it there. it will basically hold itself there while you finish getting ready for the day. you can even leave it there on the ride to work, and pull it out of your pants before you get out of the car like a magic trick. it does help to get you really nice and dry. i also feel it definitely helps to "cool down" the area by shoving something again, between the legs under the balls. something like a cold water bottle or ice pack. i used to shove an ice cold water bottle between my legs (over the pants, not under) on the drive to work...so i start the day cool and dry. but, maybe i'm just weird.

mandy... that is wrong advice... sorry to say but..if you notice any drying product almost, of power nature...the main ingredient is corn starch.. finely ground...sifted.. ok.. what do you think baby powder is made of?..lol.. like he said this is a question for the men and he dont need a nurse or a dr...lol...especially a nurse with wrong advice.. sorry but i know i am right ok.. to well medically trained here.. likukenn... ya its been 110-120 here all week to or higher..so i know what you mean...i am on the opposite side of same desert as you are..but in cali..actally corn starch is a fantastic drying powder...but heres the thing ok.. its not working .. so.. that only means one thing ok.. maybe you start off the day ok.. but by end of it.. you are irritated again.. and wet.. so it is working well first hour.. after that it falls off like little dry flakes.. then you have no protection.. and the rubbing can hurt... so answer is...you may have to much baby powder to make it worse ok.. if to much it drys out the skin so much it starts to flake as well causing only more pain.. the secret here is to stay dry as possible right... so now this does not happen to me very often at all.. but when it does.. i notice it in the shower.. or cos of pain.. and when i do.. i place kleenex there.. after i clean the area and dry well... the tissue being much better than cloth and more absorbing in a way works good.. i put it there before bed.. in the morning.. its gone.. you need constant dry there a few days to be ok... so during the day... wipe it there several times a day.. or pat if wipe hurts to much.. but do it several times a day... you get to working and sweating more and before you know.. its there again.. then the powder over drys it.. or just doesnt dry it enough... so keep it in tissue all night.. replace if you get up to p... and it will really help.. then pat it down several times a day.. just go into bathroom at work and pat it down.. tissue then is good to if it will stay there with shorts on.. i go commando. so i dont in the day leave it there but will pat it down a few times a day.. leave on all night.. and next day it is gone.. and never use powder.. daisy sometimes gets red starting under a breast or her belly... a tad of cornstarch there works wonders for her.. depends on individual.. but the constant tissue works best... you sweat more or something so you will have to be on top of it every half hour maybe.. but keep patting it dry all day.. something always has to be drying it if redness....if powder does make it worse. then you have to just sit nude spread some ,put a fan on it and let it air dry out for a couple hours watching tv before bed. then put tissue.. that works .. if not.. then call a dr.. but i would not waste the time first.. dryness is answer.. but not over dryed out to point its messed up anyway....one time i tried to kill athletes foot.. i put powder in shoes.. was that a bad move.. it dried out so much it took off top 10 layers of skin in 2 days.. and hurt for a month..you have to find a thin line between to wet or to dry. if you have sensitive skin.. its even harder to do that , dont let it go all day .. stay on top of it. curbstompunk came the closest here... see how he does not just dry it.. but lets the wash towel keep drying it for a hour.. thats the magic ok.. work the tissuee like that.. constantly on.. if you are constantly getting wet.. only way to cancel that out is to be constantly drying.. the tissue works best. cos is best material to do that with ... several times a day. leave in if you can.. once it gets wet.. take it out fast and re apply.. good luck.. just a tad of starch cant hurt.. but not to much.. but you dont really need it.. use the tissue.. good luck.. i know that one is painful every step sometimes.. a dr might also ask you .. any other rashes.. are you using a new soap or anything.. lay out and let it dry , use lots of tissue between ok..goldbond is only medicated corn starch ok.. what you really need to do.. is sponge up the extra moisture with tissue all day ok.. it works... dont let it get wet ..starch only last a very short time.. you need constant absorption..forget the nurse or a dr. you can do this yourself.. sorry mandy.. but just cos you are a nurse dont mean much to me.. and with all capitals .. please.. i raised a special needs child ,lived in hospital 5 of first 8 yrs of life..over ten surgeries. and 9 million to insurance co. i seen to many human errors and lack of common sense.. and watch them like hawks.. cos you have to .. i seen so much .. ow chet.. if you were not in all caps and so authoritative..i would have been more mellow in my answer..lol.ow gees. if it is not on both sides and only always in one spot.. i would tape some tissue there maybe, dont let your balls touch your thigh might sure help..lol..common sense is what you need here folks. and constant absorption. if constant getting wetter..but hey. if you want. go to dr.. they got what i call nipple cream.. it is costly.. 30-40 a very sm tube.. you put that on anything.. dont care what is prob.. and it fixes it right now.. they use it for nursing mothers when the baby is JAWS...lol it fixes tore up nips in a matter of hours.. @->-daisyhubs.

mandy.. i did take all the prerequisites to nursing program. science classes galore...i also worked many yrs as nurses aid. when no nurse was ever around .i have given thousands of shots and everything else.. close monitoring..i am approved by the state of cali now and work part time in the field.. but back then i was sidetracked to live in a hospital for 5 of 8 yrs and many yrs after that on and off.. so i do respect that you are academically smart to pass chem ten and such.. some classes i breezed through.. some were much harder.. and gees such hours of homework like amazingly crazy.. for every hour of class.. and most classes are 2-3 hours. they give you 6 hours of homework..lol.. dam.. @->-daisyhubs.

By daisydukessbbw on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 - 4:48 am

also.. see what devildaughter wrote,,so clothing wont rub on it.. the tissue left in fixes that problem to and saves on lots of pain.. you got mostly all good advice on this post from everyone.. @->-daisyhubs.

I STAND BY WHAT I SAID ABOUT NOT USING THE POWDER.THE POWDER AND SWEAT MIX AND FORM A PASTE .THEN THAT PASTE SITS THERE FOR HOURS AND A YEAST INFECTION DEVELOPES.WHEN IT GETS REALLY BAD ,A MEDICATED CREAM IS NEEDED. MANDY

By smurfette on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 - 10:27 am

My suggestion is Pure Pleasure from www.pureromance.com My husband and I both use it and we never have that problem anymore!

By txbbwluver52 on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 - 4:59 pm

Wow Mandy thats exactly what happened to me twice, didnt know men got yeast infections , I do now.

By tubbylover on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 - 5:17 pm

WOW TY SO MUCH EVERYBODY!!!!!! I think i might try some of these tips!

By devildaughter on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 - 5:44 pm

Yes as soon as you put the power on when you are sweaty it will turn to paste. Like I said take a shower to take the sweat off and then get the place it is at completely dry and then put the power on ..it work great all the time and lay there naked for awhile and it will be fine after you do it a few time.

By bicpl6960 on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 - 10:31 pm

I was told to use baby oil, havnt needed it yet this year...yet

By daisydukessbbw on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 5:17 am

mandy..you have redeemed yourself..and now have the right answer.... and i of course owe you a apology...i am sorry.. honest and fair ok.. if you had given the second answer first though.. i would have praised you ...cos it is right.. no dr needed..and i did say.. they did not need the power anyway. it just flakes off.. or like you say pastes up.. and yes there is a yeast infection.. already..or it would be a burn.. to be red like that..and you would not be thinking about powders .. i guess the nip cream is really like a hydrocortazone/medicated type stuff. or something.. it kicks ass.. i am sure you know exactly what it is and have seen it lots of times.. its in a very sm tube and pricey as heck..again.. you gave great advise the second time.. and yes the powder probably breaks down to a sugar and feeds the yeast anyway.. and one here mentions a jock strap..isnt that what the pros do for this sort of thing.. it supports and drys some maybe. .. so mandy. i think as nurses go.. its dont say anything. legally you cant say much but ya.. see the dr.. we dont talk to you about it. the dr will .. so that maybe why you answered like you did the first time.. but here we want to hear it all.. and so ty for saying right the second time... again i am sorry however.. there is not dr. needed only a understanding and new game plan. i think infection is right..and was thinking that to.. but no man wants to hear he has a yeast infection. and most would not believe it anyway..lol. but i think jock itch. and the such is a fungus.. yeast infected fungus. doent sound good.. ow no... lol... the laying out.. drying out.. lots of tissue pat downs... and MEDICATED CREAM does seem like right answer... @->-dasiyhubs.

here's another option to consider. a pair of boxer-briefs with tru-drie fabric or something similar. the fabris is designed to wick moisture away from the skin surface. found out about these when i was umpiring h.s. age baseball tournaments in 100 degree midwest heat & humididty.

By tubbylover on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 4:50 pm

well everybody i thank you all for the advice hopefully i'll found something thta works for me. as for wnyguy i think it was ignorant of you to use my post for your personal pleasure. but being the forgive and forget kind of guy i'll let it slide!

By wnyguy on Thursday, July 22, 2010 - 8:41 pm

sorry...

By drivatrain on Friday, July 23, 2010 - 9:06 pm

I used to have that problem too. I started wearing boxer briefs to keep dryer & stop the chaffing.

By duddrwmn on Sunday, July 25, 2010 - 8:49 pm

Try an antiperspirant to keep you dry. Roll-on or Spray though I think roll-on gives you better coverage.

As for clearing up the heat rash try a diaper rash ointment put it on when your dry - it can help repel moisture too.

By tubbylover on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 - 5:19 pm

been doing the tiolet paper in my undies just buched up and stuck between my thighs and huge balls. it's orking the rash is going away and no more chaffing

By moons816 on Saturday, July 31, 2010 - 9:48 pm

I don't have near the perspiration, itchy issues since I started shaving my balls and the surrounding area..

By niceguy0700 on Sunday, August 1, 2010 - 6:57 am

try using a medicated lotion after you dry and also the longer leg type of underwear not the loose boxer type is what has helped me.

By tubbylover on Monday, August 2, 2010 - 6:57 pm

i went to the doctor today couldn't stand the rash any longer and guess what ?????????? Randmany is totally rigth I got YEAST INFECTION!!!!!!!! The doctor said to discountinue the use of corn strach all the time.ad to try to just keep it dry in the areas effected. Thank you so Randy mandy

By blqluvr on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 - 11:02 am

try using an deoderant spray, can be powder scent if you like, don't spray directly on skin, rather on your undies this will help keep you nice and dry.

This is what I use and I have no problems.

By randymandy on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 - 5:19 pm

thanks tubbylover....... glad you saw the DR. XOX Mandy

By deadfred on Sunday, May 15, 2011 - 11:22 pm

By duddrwmn on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 - 12:44 pm

How about trying a spray-on deordorant? Even a glide-on deordorant? I use it under my breasts in the summer time - same difference. Believe me it works any place on your body - not just under your arms...

By dirtycpl93 on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 - 7:14 am

Dry it out..... I wear tighter undies to try to keep my balls off my legs in the summer. come home take shower get dry down there. a little rash can b treated with, babies diaper rash cream..... "desitin" comes to mind.
Anyone can get a yeast infection.

I do not know it all like some others lol, but i got dem big balls too, and work for a livin.

Im not a doctor i just play one in my house lol

HA HA HA HA!

By olcowpoke on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 - 11:44 pm

Wear a 100% cotton boxer short or like one of member said here wick away short and sleep with a pillow between your knee at night. And for your kind of job, wear a bib overall to keep air flow thru out as waist band of pant & belt make it worse. Just an old timer here. I did used corn strach long ago and found it a no no.

By thunderhead100 on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 - 6:52 am

I work in a steel mill where temps reach the 120'mark. The best combo I have found is Vaseline and boxer briefs. It won't feel right at first, but it beats the raw and rash.
