Further down on the list I saw someone asking for a cornbread receipe. I live in Memhis,TN.
Here is a traditional southern cornbread.
1 & 1/2 cup corn meal
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar. (if you like it sweeter add another 1/4 cup.)
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup oil.
mix all, put in greesed pan or cast iron skillet, cook 450 degrees, 30 min.
bonus
Poor mans cobbler.
1/2 stick of butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 can fruit
melt butter in cassarole dish.
mix flour, sugar, milk. pour into pan.
pour can of fruit down middle.
the crust portion will cook up over the fruit.
350 deg/ 30 min.
enjoy.
