angels thumbprints
1 c. butter,softened 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 eggs, seperated 1/2 tsp.vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt 2 c. flour , sifted jellys, jams and preserves hershey kisses
pre heat oven 350
1. mix butter with egg yolks and brown sugar. add vanill, salt and flour. mix well. make into balls and place on cookie sheet .
2.get a angel to press thumbprint or use your own thumb and press down flattening ball and leaveing a indention to put jelly ,jam or preserves in. can also put piece a hershey kiss in hole.
3.bake 10 min. take out a oven and put jam , jelly ot preserve in hole. or piece a chocolate kisses. bake 15 min. more .
you want to have a high enough part a cookie so filling doesnt roll out when it melts. its like when you make a well in mash potatoes for gravy
