forgot to put this up before it something my mama would have ready the nite before christmas so in morning she d just have to stick it in oven for breakfast.
1 lb. pork sausage 1 tsp. mustard powder 1/2 tsp. salt 6 eggs, beaten 2 1/2 c. milk 6 to 8 slices any kind bread, toasted and cut into cubes 3/4 lb. mild Cheddar cheese, shredded
1. Crumble sausage into a medium skillet. Cook over medium heat until evenly brown; drain.
2. In a medium bowl, mix together mustard powder, salt, eggs and milk. Add the sausage, bread cubes, and cheese, and stir to coat evenly.
3. Pour into a greased 9x13 in. baking dish. Cover, and chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours, or overnight.
4.Preheat oven to 350*). Cover, and bake 45 to 60 min. Uncover, and reduce temperature to 325*. Bake for an another 30 min., or until set
sometimes instead a sausage shed fry up 1/2 lb. a bacon like halfway and lay it across the top a bread cubes and bake for the hr and 1/2.
