split pea soup
bacon few slices, diced 1 lb split peas 1 ham bone (with some meat left on)we use leftover from easter and christmas dinners 1 carrot, peeled and diced 1 onion, diced 1 potato, peeled and diced 1 celery rib, diced 1 clove garlic, diced 8 c. low sod. chicken broth doesnt need the salt salt to taste at the end as ham makes salty pepper to taste
1.in soup pot cook bacon remove and save drain some bacon fat.
