2 lb. ground beef 1 onion, chopped 2tsp. minced garlic 1 can black olives, sliced 1 (4oz) can diced green chili peppers 1 (10oz.) can diced tomatoes with green chilis 1 (16oz.) jar taco sauce 2 (16oz.) cans refried beans 12 (8 in) flour tortillas 1 lb. cheddar or colby jack cheese,shredded
preheat oven 350*
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, saute the ground beef for 5 minutes. 2. Add the onion and garlic, and saute for 5 more minutes. 3. Mix in the olives, green chile peppers, tomatoes, taco sauce. 4. Stir mixture thoroughly, reduce heat to low, and let simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. 5.Spread refried beans on to tortillas. 6.Spread a thin layer of the meat mixture in the bottom of casserole dish. 7. Cover with a layer of tortillas followed by more meat mixture, then a layer of cheese. 8.Repeat tortilla, meat, cheese pattern until all the tortillas are used, topping off with a layer of meat mixture and cheese. 9.Bake for 20 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheese is slightly brown and bubbly.
Looks like another keeper crystal! Thanks! I made the spicy hamburger rice dinner last night and my family LOVED it!!! I think they had seconds and thirds! Can't wait to try this one on them!
