corn beef and cabbage
1 corn beef brisket 1 c. brown sugar 1 bottle or can a guinness or another beer 3 carrots peeled and in wedges 4 potatoes peeled chunked 3 parsnips peeled wedged 1 cabbage quartered
1. rinse and dry brisket. 2. rub sugar into meat . 3.place in slowcooker . 4.pour in guinness. 5. cook on low about 9 hrs turning once. 6.add potatoes,carrots,parsnips and cabbage after first few hrs.
can also be baked in oven in dutch oven for abot 3 hrs on 350* very low and long longer it bakes tenderer it gets.
