apple cranberry pie
filling 6 apples peeled, sliced 3/4 pkg cranberries chop up some 1 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp cardemom 1/2 tsp allspice 1/4tsp ginger 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/4 tsp salt 1/3 c. quick-cooking tapioca
topping 1 1/2 c. flour 3/4 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/2 tsp allspice 1/2 tsp cardemom 1/2 tsp. salt 2/3 c. butter
1 egg 1 deep dish pie crust or make you own
1. bake crust for about 10 min in 325* oven. 2. mix apples ,cranberries, spices and sugar let sit 15 min.add tapioca let sit 15 min for juices to be absorbed by tapioca. 3. pour into piecrust. mix up strussel topping until crumbly top apple cranberry mixture. 4. beat up egg brush pie crust edge . 5.bake at 325* 45 min to hr until apples tender.
makes sometimes more filling then for pie can put leftover in dish top with topping for a crisp could also use apple pie spice instead a all the spices most are in there just we like spices we use you use about 1 tsp to 1 1/2 tsp
