Festive Fruit Salad Recipes
Just about everyone loves fruit salad! These fruit salad and jello salad recipes are easy to make and taste great!
1 (6 oz.) pkg. lime gelatin 1 1/2 c. pineapple juice 4 oz. cream cheese 1 small flat can crushed pineapple 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1 c. whipped cream
Bring pineapple juice to a boil. Dissolve gelatin in juice. Let cool. Cream the cream cheese until soft. Add drained pineapple and pecans. Pour juice and gelatin into cheese mixture and mix well. Lightly fold in whipped cream; pour into bowl or mold and chill the fruit salad until firm.
Holiday Fruit Salad Recipe
4 apples 4 oranges grapes (green) 1 c. chopped pecans 1 c. chopped walnuts maraschino cherries 1/2 c. mayonnaise 8 oz. cream cheese 1 c. whipped cream 1/2 c. sugar 1 can pineapple chunks 1/4 tsp. almond flavoring
Let cream cheese soften to room temperature.
Cut peeled apples and oranges; section into cubes. Cut in half a few green grapes. Set aside.
Mash up cream cheese. Add mayonnaise and whip until fluffy. Add sugar. Whip again, then add almond flavoring. Add the fruits and nuts and sugar to this. Mix in the whipped cream. Decorate top of the fruit salad with red cherries. Put in coldest section of your refrigerator. It's better to make this fruit salad the night before.
Jello Fruit Salad Recipe
3 oz. box lime or lemon Jello 1 c. hot water 1/2 c. pineapple juice 1 (15 oz. or 20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained 1/2 c. cottage cheese 1 c. Cool Whip 1/4 to 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries
Dissolve lime or lemon Jell-O in hot water. Add pineapple juice. Refrigerate until it becomes a thick syrup. Add pineapple, cottage cheese, Cool Whip, nuts and maraschino cherries. Put jello fruit salad in dish or mold and refrigerate until firm.
