Elvis's Grilled Peanut Butter & Banana with Crispy Bacon
Ingredients
12 sliced thickly cut white bread. 1 jar creamy peanut butter. 3 bananas sliced thinly to fit on the bread slices. 18 slices very crisp bacon. Melted butter to "grill the sandwiches"
Method
Put all you misconceptions aside for this weird combo. Assemble the sandwiches but lightly peanut buttering each slice of bread. Place the bacon & banana slices on the bread and close the sandwiches. On a preheated flat griddle or large frying pan heat butter until it stops sizzling. Brown the sandwiches on both sides like making a grilled cheese. The peanut butter should get nice and gooey. Serve with French-fries dipped in Mayo. (why not you're already there) ** To justify this combination I looked to the cuisine's of Southeast Asia like Thailand and Vietnam. The use of savory peanut sauces like in the famous "satay" sauce work well with smokey meats and sweet fruit. TRUST ME!!!
