2 cans (20oz.) pineapple slices ,drained
8 maraschino cherries,halved
2 1/2 c. cold milk
2 pkg.(4oz.)jello instant pudding vanilla
3 1/2 c. cool whip
1 pound cake loaf , cut in 14 slices
1. line 2 quart bowl with plastic wrap.
2.place 16 pineapple slices on bottom and sides of lined bowl pushing them close together as much as possible to fit all.
3.place cherry half in each pineapple whole cut side of cherry up.
4.spread some cool whip onto pineapple to cover in smooth layer.
5. pour milk in bowl add pudding mix beat until blended let stand 5 min. fold in 1/2 c. cool whip.
6. spread about 1/3 pudding mixture over cool whip in bowl.
7. place 6 cake slices on top pudding layer press down gently.
8. place 5 pineapple slices on cake slices.
9.layer 1/3 pudding mixture ,4 cake slices and remaining pineapple slices.
10.cover with remaing pudding , top with remaining cake slices . press down gently. cover with plastic wrap.
11. chill at least 1 hour.
12.remove plastic from top invert dessert onto platter and carefully remove plastic wrap from around bombe.garnish with leftover cool whip.
